Abe's cabin - June 10

Hi all:

I'm running kids back and forth to camp this week and covering more territory than usual. I hit a nice school playground this morning for about an hour. We had the place to ourselves and I found $2.38 in clad and the new log cabin penny which I hadn't seen yet. I guess they came out in Feb. (My 3 YO daughter found the dog.) And I wish I had had my camera on me to capture the joy on her face as she came down the TALL corkscrew slide. :)

HH,
Michiganne
p.s. Where are all the MI posts lately? Is everyone too busy MDing to post or busy with other things?
(I teach school Sept. - May so I have more free time now to hunt.)

nice job on the recoveries, I've only seen a couple of those cabins in cirrculation, people are losing them already. the other new lincoln penny 'formative years' has a bunch of errors in cirrculation. (like extra fingers or thumbs) HH good detectin weather

Haven't seen one of those new cents yet. Looks like you had a fun time!
I don't MD as much when it warms up outside, muggy, skeeters, etc.
I did get out last Sat. when we went north to Westphalia to my niece's open house. My cousin owns an 1860's farm home, and mentioned earlier that someone lost a diamond ring a few years back. Couldn't wait to go! Nuts! Found out that when they retored the home they put an addition on, and new basement. They spread the dreaded fill dirt throughout the front yard. Top that off with me looking like the pied piper, 10 kids in tow. I did manage to find a clad dime and a magazine from an old play rifle.
Oh well, you keep on swingin Anne! FFD

I haven't seen any of them in circulation Anne but now that I've see you found one I'll probably start keeping a closer eye on my change!
