Next up was a intact Tootsie Toy that I bent with my scoop upon retrieval.
Here are some of my coins that are worth showing.
And lastly... A few pieces of silver for your enjoyment.
A few bucks in clad and lots of pull-tabs, bottle caps and other assorted garbage rounded out the day.
Nice digs! WTG!!!!

Real nice, that whistle is super cool. Wonder if there is any way to date it?

Nice way to end the season but are you sure you don't want to get wet just one more time? Finds like that would keep me going back until the lake froze over. LOL HH

Re: Last splash of the year for me
I saw an article in one of the older issues of a treasure mag, about a guy in Michigan somewhere that didn't give up when hell froze over (anywhere Michigan). He rigged up his search coil with a long piece of white (PVC?) pipe and an extension cable. He would go out on ice at the 7 to 10 foot lake depth, cut a hole with a chainsaw (like you do for pike spearing) and hunt the bottom . I forget what he used for a scoop, but it worked very well for him. Just thought I'd toss this out there for y'all to ponder..........NGE

Re: Last splash of the year for me
Almost forgot....... When I am the first to check the thickness of the ice for fishing, I would slide my 10 foot pram onto the ice and chip away. Also makes for a nice base of operations, with a canvas wind break rigged up and a cubscout buddy burner for warmth. I have actually been photographed by a friend, ice fishing this way. I used my ice spud to push my way around, and if I broke through I could use a canoe paddle or my oars to get home .

Nice hunt!
Great silver and wonderful whistle!
I think the best is the "Heads I Win" coin! That one just cracks me up.
Good Luck on getting to some of the silver on land before BandB1 gets it.
Good Luck,
Mark
