Hello SE Michigan here.

Found the Large Cent yesterday, have it soaking in Olive Oil, all detail is crudded
over on the obverse, the reverse isn't as bad. Would be happy to be able
to reveal a date- can't find my coin book, but I think the line under the
words One Cent may help narrow it's date and type down :dontknow:
Four silvers this month so far( 12 more this month would do the trick.)

Good luck,

Not too shabby...lookin to get out this weekend, should be good weather for diggin. Have a better picture of the face side of the coin? might want to rub some oil on it and hold it at angle for a pic. (thats what I had to do with my first to make out the head)

Way to go BB!! I have found 2 large cents and I probably remember those as well as any. Good eye on the line. From the pics in my red book it looks like it would be pre 1837. The 37-39 has a dot directly under the middle of the word ONE. Let us know if you find out.

BandB1, congratulations on that LC find. That's a big milestone for a lot of detectorists. Especially in Michigan, where they are not all that easy to find from what I hear.

Nice silvers too.

Nice find on that L.C. I have seen that line on large cents from a 1808 on up to a 1838 if that helps at all. Nice silvers also.
