City house site again - Oct. 10
Hi all:
I've been very busy the past few weeks and done little hunting. Today I needed a few groceries so I justified swinging past my city house for a "short" hunt enroute. Last time there it was very dry so I was looking forward to more moist digging. I found two rings, a buckle, part of a baby spoon, a 1914 wheatie and was most happy with a 1907 IH. I also found an aluminum type penny that I don't think is play money but I haven't been able to ID. Anyone have any ideas? (This is the same site where I found an Austrian coin.)
Thanks for looking and HH.
p.s. You guys sure make finding silver look easy!

nice IH & relics... I like the rings too.
Some of the Asian countries have used aluminum coins for a while. China started in the late 50's. Couple other countries started in the 60's or early 70's.
Check out this link, they have a pic of your coin, except that it's a proof

Thanks Rando and Rusted Iron for the coin ID....yes, it a Korean penny. My hubbie thought the markings on it looked Korean but I wasn't able to find an exact match on-line. Well, I'm sure it is not worth much but I'd rather dig something foreign than another Lincoln Memorial.

I didn't forget any groceries for sure but I did have to call home to say I was "running a bit late."

Mike- No date on the Korean penny and if it has a date it's written in Korean symbols.

Congrats on another Indian and some other good finds. Some day soon I will be scratching the dirt again myself.
