My most valuble dug coin so far tonite
Dug these 2 injuns tonite at a civil-war era farmstead. Soft, puffy soil there. No peroxide bath needed.

Awesome condition, and one good date. Don't do anything to them!

Actually those are both good dates, the 1886 is a type 2. I have never sent one off to be graded but I would probably have to send both of those in. Very nice coins

Thanx C2MU, these two were front yard finds along with 1916S and couple other wheats. This farm is near Jackson prison, and was once prison property. Owner says people walk the plowed cornfields and pick up arrowheads, someone also found a clay peacepipe. ffd

Re: My most valuble dug coin so far tonite
Them are awesome coins ffd the first year I ever detected I did an very old farm that had similar soil but there was a hogroast going on at the same time, I always wanted to go back but the lady who owned the property had passed. The farm had been in her family since the 1850's.
