Woods what's it - Jan. 10

Howdy all:

I finally got some pics downloaded I've been waiting on. Here's a recent find from the woods that I haven't figured out and I thought I'd let you all take a shot at IDing it. It is aluminum and smooth on both sides except where the holes are punched through. I thought it might be a filter for an engine intake but my husband thought the holes were too large for that. It was more or less flat when I found it. Any ideas?

Hi Anne, as soon as I saw the "whats-it" I had to laugh, as I have handled literally thousands of those things at work. It's part of a telephone-wire drop-clamp, which attaches the phone wire at the telephone pole and the house. There are actually 3 pieces to a clamp. ffd
