Re: Let's get things moving on here. Post your favorite token.

Here is my favorite and probably most valuable token. I found this storecard in a woods in March of 2008, there's a lady that walks her dogs daily in this woods and she walked up the hill to see what I was digging and about the time she got up the steep hill to see what I found I pulled this out and happened to see the eagle, handed it to her and she was just awed, I told her I thought it might be a civil war token and the next time I seen her I confirmed it. It's an R6 according to an email sent to me on Treasurenet from a member who actually joined the forum just to tell me what I had. He said that he had been collecting CW tokens for 20 years and it was only the second one that he'd seen, I think someone in Southwest Michigan seek and search found one like it a year or two earlier from what I remember seeing at their site.

Here is my 2nd best token. An 1863 Civil War store card from Lowell MI. All of the CW tokens from Lowell are rare. This one is one of less than ten known to exist. Found in 2008 in a yard of an 1800's home.

Well this pales in comparison to the others that have been posted but this is prob. my fav. It was found in the Jackson area last year. I do not know anything about this token, but I think PostalGriff told me he found one just like it.

Rookie, that good luck token is the best one that i've seen like it. I like the cw tokens, they are awesome. PG that UP 1934 token is cool, always liked that one! I have a couple of tokens from the 30s? '- 50's.

Those are neat ones. You could make them at the fair in the 50's with your choice of names etc...
