Spring group hunt 2010
OK so I think it was a success! Wow, what a great time. I'll let everyone post their individual finds, but I thought I'd start a post for that with some group pics and a few of the finds. A big congrats to Brentallica for the best find and winner of the trophy with his 1818 Large Cent!!! It was great to meet all of you and hope we can do it again some time. enjoy the pics. Griff

Re: Spring group hunt 2010
well here's my haul of stuff that didn't make it into the trash bucket in the back of the van. I ended up with 2 Barber quarters an 1898, 1915 and a 1895 IH. The 1898 Barber was only 2 inches at the base of a tree, couldn't believe it! I did a lot of digging, lots of gun brass, clad, several harmonica reeds (including one that I donated to a geocache that I stumbled upon in the woods ) A wagon full of lantern parts, a ring, a pretty nice spoon that has the original family initial on it, and a sweet crotal bell that rings very nice. Great time! HH, Griff

we had about 10 each day, and because of the size of the some of the sites we split into 2 groups of 5. worked out pretty well I think.
