Five cent lunch today - and a "first"

My day off today I headed to a bed and breakfast joint near me, this farm dates back to the 1860's and I've hunted it before without much luck. Today I dug the low signals, and was surprised to dig the shield nickel at 3". I saw the impression in the plug and expected a newer nickel.
I have dug a few indians here also and unearthed another today. Great time of the year to be hunting, I remember when I used to head to the woods with a gun! ffd

Very cool finds Duane. Love the V nickel with the strong date. I have only found two of those in my years of searchin. Nice older Indian and buffalo. Yep, when I kill a site I'll go back and dig up those lower tones that I passed up on earlier visits. When ya first hit an old home ya don't wanna over stay your welcome and dig everything that beeps on the first trip. Unless ya don't think you'll get a return visit. Anyway, congrats Mr D on a great time out.
