Two Silver Day.....
Seems like my coil has been passing over silver to start the year. Dug these 2 1937 Mercs. at a site where an old school once stood. Lots of iron and fill dirt. All of the keeper coins are DEEP at this location. Really have to pay attention to those "Whisper " signals. Both silvers were 8+ inches. Been swinging a new MXT Pro. So far I have had 3 hunts with this detector and have found a dozen wheats and 4 Mercs. Hope the luck continues. Thanks for looking.

Re: Two Silver Day.....
Nice finds ! Silver always looks great when it comes out of the ground does it not !
And when one finds coins like this it makes us hunt just that much more .
Few things I love to do is , Metal Detecting for anything of the past!
Making Detectors better ! Tuning and finding ways to upgrade Detector hardware , To make them work the Best that is possable !

Robo.....very nice finds. I have the basic MXT....single tone. How much advantage do you see by the multi tone of the new Pro? On sunny days, I get a bit of a headache constantly having to watch the screen.

Re: Two Silver Day.....
I find with a multi tone that it is easier for me to wait until I hear that specific tone for what I am hunting for. I.E. high tone for silver. I usually hunt for deep silver and ignore the shallow targets. I know I am passing up a lot but I do like the silver. I have used a few single tone detectors and just prefer using a multi tone detector. Seems like with a single tone you have to check your screen more to get a VDI reading whereas with the multi tone I only have to check the screen when I get that desired tone I am listening for. With the MXT PRO I get on deep silver a "Squeak" high tone that grabs my attention and then I check the VDI. However on max. detector depth you sometimes get no VDI or a jumpy VDI. As long as it repeats with the high tone it is a digger for sure.

exactly why I love using the minelab over my old whites, that high tone for silver helps sniff em out for sure. Looks like a great spot you have there, congrats on the silver and good luck going back!
