    Yard sale oldie

    Got this old Fisher for $10.00 w/headphones the other day. Anyone help me date it? I have detected since 1976 and this I believe is from before then.

    great find! I wonder if that wood grip is original? I would guess late 1960's. Nice!

    Hey Dave,

    Here is the answer I got from Al at Prostock who is a good friend who knows detectors very well!

    I feel like I am prepping for Jeopardy! LOL! That is a good one right there! I would say 1968 or 1969. I have a headset for one of these somewhere. It is a little hard for me to tell from the picture, but I think this model is turned on by plugging in the head set. Fisher actually did a lot with wood back then. Walnut no less!
