    Ballfield Barber Trio

Drove 70 miles round trip this morning and arrived at the spot at 7am. Ground still pretty hard but I managed to dig a couple old ones and about 16 wheaties, the oldest 1909. Took awhile to find the sweet spot, which was an area about 25' X 100' to the left and rear of the ball diamond.
I had to leave at 10 am, couldn't take the full sun and heat.
Dig 16 wheaties without a scratch, you think I could miss the greenie IH? No, I had to butcher it. And I sure miss my Lesche digger, the knock-off was junk out of the box.

Was it a preplanned destination? Nice results if you put research in for them. Great luck if you didn't. Either way awesome hunt dude! Too bad about the digger though. The ground is brutal right now.

Light research, I first thought it was a newer spot, but it's next to an old depot, and i've dug 6 old silvers there in two visits, so i don't believe they were carried in with fill. ffd
