    1884 Canadian Dime!

Door knocking Sunday and today landed me 3 pretty old yards that were holding a few keepers. The 1884 Canadian Dime was a surprise. Also recovered 2 Mercs (26, 44), 43 War Nickel, 1903 IH, 1932 Canadian Cent and some Chinese coin, I think The Dog Tag was a cool surprise but needed a bath before I could make it out. These three yards were holding 34 Wheaties ranging from 1910 to 57D. Good luck out there!!

Very nice! Way to go on the Canadian dime. How many hours does that treasure represent?

Nice! I got an 1888 Canadian dime at the Fair grounds one time. Love the dog tag too!

Nice digs. I love those old dog tags. I've got several from the turn of the century. That Canadian is sweet too.

As you may know, that 1884 dime (0.925 fine silver) is also one of the most valuable of that series (1858-1901). With only 150k minted, a few years ago the retail value in VG-8 was $140 and in F-12 $300. (In MS-63 it was worth $10k !!)
    Great finds,

    Thanks for the comments guys!
Had a little over 2 hours into each yard so probably 6-8 hours detecting time total.

Brent you've been raking in the oldies all year! Nice old dog tag and great old key date canadian dime. Looks like a nice pile o wheats too. Congrats, I got out today and tried 100 y.o. yard, was digging newer pennies down around 6-7" - skunked!
