Found a house on a 1875 map and it disappeared shorty after , so I went and check the area out , I knew there was a new yielding close I was hopping not to close. I found the foundation 20 feet off the new parking lot , it was brushy but had some small open spots to hit . I already had permission so off I went , the first hour was mostly junk but then I started picking up a few keepers. Ended up with a sliver ring , 3 wheat pennies ,a 1944, 1940, 1910 also 2 IH pennies a 1903 and 1897 . Going to head back and work it some more tomorrow

seems strange that the coin dates are so much more recent than when 1875 the dwelling disappeared.Maybe its a later place and your1875 target of choice is close by. Maybe u've got a to for on your hands!2 places 4 the 1 you thought was there, look close .I'm always suppicious {damn cant spell worth crap} when finds dont make sense for time frame. But then I've been called a dum ass a lot of times. LOL nice finds!!!

you could be right about the place because the map shows it a little more west , I figured the coins would be older so I will keep working it and the area around it. Good hunting,,,
