Hunted a thick nasty wooded lot Friday morning with a friend and found these keepers. The cufflink was my first signal. The dime was deep and not a very good signal near the end of the hunt. I found my buddy about 20 yards away before pulling the dirt off it. I knew it was a silver dime but you couldn't tell at first bc it was caked in dirt. 1876 seated! I was pumped. The lot runs next to a river where an old mill use to be. Have this week off work hoping to get out sometime between the rain showers. HH all Griff

Looks good to me! Congratulations! Lets find some more seated griff! mine was only covered with dirt on the obverse so at first I yelled "hey, I got a barber here." then was amazed when I gently wiped away dirt to see my third seated ever. Way cool! Looks like you found a good spot-keep on diggin

Looking good there. If not for the seated that cuff link would make a hunt.
Way cool button. Is it showing a fledgling having left the nest?
Congrats!

Gotta love them seated coins!!! WTG.

I've only found 3. My first 2 were both dated 1876 just like yours. Must've been a popular year.

thanks Anne, yeah it looks like a bird maybe leaving the nest like relevantchair suggested, or diving into a swale or something, it's hard to tell.
