Here's some keeper finds since my last post

Here's a mariner's cross and catholic medallion that I found in a schoolyard. I was heartbroken when I found out the mariner's cross was fake :(

Here's a rosy that I found at the park on the 25th of August.

Two days later I went back to the same park and scored me another silver

I went to a school yard three days after that and found me a silver rosy.

I got a really nice wheat haul on September 1st at the park.

This is a steel wheat from that mess of wheats that I did some electrolysis on.

Nice finds. Those first 2 sets of pictures featuring Mercury Dimes...are those before and after pics of the same 1944 Mercury Dime? Or are those 2 separate 1944 Mercury Dimes?

Only asking because if you cleaned them and got those black and rust stains off...then my next question is gonna be...how on earth did you do that? I can never get those black and rust marks off.

Yes they are before and after pics, I rubbed them off with Arm and Hammer baking soda. With a rare coin I wouldn't do that I'd probably get it professionally cleaned or find out how to do it. I did this with all of the silvers on this thread except the one that I found in the schoolyard cause all of the others came from low land where there's a lot of geese and waterfowl, every silver I've pulled out of there this year I used the same method cause they were all stained. Electrolysis also works but I like the baking soda method better !

Here is what the last merc looked like before I cleaned it with baking soda

Nice digs, Giant. WTG on all the silver and wheats. Glad you have a spot to keep pulling them out. I like the mariner's cross and Catholic 4-way medallion too. Great photos as always!
