I haven't been out much all year but did get a couple digs in, including a few early homes that were complete skunks. So, I fell back on my old spots and managed a few wheats, silver, and other items. The Fob dates back to about 1900-1930 I think. Also recently dug a cash token and toasted classic head LC, can't make a date out though. Totally enjoying this mild weather for early December!

Nice digs FFD, Love the token and the other finds. Sorry to hear you haven't gotten out much, but "Life happens". Looks like you have a great go-to-site when you get the urge. People have been detecting in my area since the mid 70's so I have not hunted many of the older mansions, since I know they were all cherry picked over the decades. I look for older homes that were not owned by the early business barons and have found a few virgin sites. Just yesterday I dug a LC from a property were the house was built in the 1950s.. The land was subdivided many years before and was part of a bigger old property in town. I was hunting a home from the 1870's (next door) which is on the main street in town and I believe must have been pounded over the decades since the oldest coin I dug was a wheat penny from 1941.

The Banner Shoe Store token is listed in Rulau & Fuld's Medallic Portraits of Washington as Baker #740 and in the Lipscomb Ohio Merchant Tokens book as #CO6010. The first reference shows it as valued at $12 in uncirculated condition. With your permission (if you don't want to do it yourself), I'd post it on TokenCatalog.com
