found a little gold on sunday, located one of the old mines, and broke up some of the quartz, first smash provided a little sparkle of gold, about time. this mine was essayed one of the lowest in the area, about half oz to the ton, next time out off to another mine up the valley was recorded at 20 oz. thanks Dennis, it is a start, im just as intrested in the camps, as in the gold but that may change, have yet to find a coin at any of these old sites, even one coin for every 500lbs of scrap metal would be nice. HH Thompy
