A friend and I did a lot of research on an area which dates back to the early/mid 1800s. We were given permission to detect some areas but other property owners denied. Oh well what can you do but hit up the ones that say yes and thank them for the generosity. :icon_thumleft:
We did not have much to show for the early 1800s site but ended up doing fairly well at an area where the house dates back to 1850s. The first coin is oriental and I've seen them on this forum before but I have no way of dating it. I'm hoping somebody here can identify it and help me out. The second coin is a 1920 wheatie. The third coin is a 1863 civil war token/store card and probably my best find for the hunt. The last item is a TootsieToy 1940s Chrysler Windsor convertible.

***After some research, I believe the oriental coin is a S-1489 variety from the Jen Tsung period (1796-1820).

Most of the Chinese cash coins we find here are from the middle to the late 1800's but now and then one dates back to the late 1700's. Your CW store card is the same as the first one I ever found. Very cool congrats!
