Found in Fathers in Laws yard in Hillsdale County

These are the best finds over several hunts in my father in laws yard.

#1 Marksmanship badge. There were three levels of badges,
    Marksman
    Sharpshooter
    Expert

This is the one given out for expert. Would have hung from a ribbon

Many years ago in a school playground I found a sharpshooter badge with the "rifle" bar attached.

    #2 Large cent 1896

#3 Aluminum token P.A. Swanson Andover Ill

    #4 Worlds Fair token 1904
Front Napoleon on left Jefferson on right
Back The Louisiana Exposition St. Louis 1904

Found these several years ago. The property is old but a lot of the original land was covered with fill dirt.

Cool find on the marksmanship badge. However, it's not hung from a ribbon. It is pinned onto the Class "A" Uniform 1/8" above the left breast pocket. The measurement is from the bottom of the badge itself, not from the bottom qualification bar. More than one qualification bar may hang from the badge, provided that the wearer has qualified with that weapons system at the level of the badge, in this case Expert.

We still wear these same badges today, but unfortunately they are no longer sterling silver, they are brass plated with something shiny, maybe chrome? I'm betting that your badge is WW2-era.

    Way cool find!!!!
