Hey y’all just wanted to share this before and after pic of these wheat pennies. I usually only tumble clad, but I have so many wheats pennies from over the years and the last couple of years and haven’t even bothered cleaning or looking at the dates on them. I’m gonna have my boys go through them with their young eyes and separate them by decades now lol. Anyway they turned out pretty nice. I just threw them in with some beach sand and water, was careful not to tumble them too long, and then let them dry and rub them down with a little bit of olive oil.

I haven't tumbled any in several years now. Looking at your results, looks like I'll be doing it again soon - got one of the 2 barrel tumblers on the cheap from Harbor Freight.

They work, that's for certain. I was just using sand and water in the past, but I really believe I tumbled then too long

yeah an hour or two is pretty good… I let one batch go too long, I think around four hours, and you could tell it was too long.
