    DANG! That took long enough!

Its been way too long since I was able to make a post on here, but finally I think maybe I had a break through with my new Explorer! I went into town tonight to pick up some gas in my Moms car as its hard for her to get around anymore and decided to drag the Explorer along with me. I first tried along an old church and not much but a little clad, then I decided to make a short hunt down over an old school yard and the first hit was deep and hard. I had a gut feeling that it was something good and low and behold Mr. Injun popped his face into the sunlight! Not the best one I ever got by far but its and Indian! The funny thing was I had just E-mailed Jim C and was whining about how this machine has me a little frustrated. Maybe I should whine a little more harder next time Heres a pic of the first oldie for the new machine......WooooHoooo!

Jack, congrats on the old injun with your new machine, now the rest will probably come easy. That coin beats the heck outa the 1899 injun I dug tonite at the old ballfield...no amount of soaking/cleaning would help. Oh well good luck to you and may you find many more.

Alright Jack! Now I guess there will be no living with ya; the old stuff will start popping up every time you go out and we will have to listen to you brag! Congrats, big time my friend!

There ya go Jack. When most folks get a new detector that is supposed to be great and go deep they get discouraged fast because they are not finding the stuff they are supposed to. It just takes time to learn what its telling ya plus ya have to go over some old ones to find em. Sounds basic but thats the truth. I don't know much about your SE and thought it was a quick sell machine for minelab after the explorer 2. I'm sure it will do ya just fine if ya stick with it and learn the thing. Congrats on your Indian and hope to see more in the future. I'm heading out somewhere Saturday in search of oldies. We shall see. Jim
Ya never know until ya go.
