Found this yesterday at a spot in Clinton ms that I have hunted many times. I just hunted very slow and if my machine made any noise at all I would sweep in all different directions and if I could get a half way decent sound I would dig. It has been the nickle, several different types of bullets, wheaties,a cuff button and camp fire lead. I am optimistic about this spot again. I love this hobby.

Sorry I meant to include that info. It is 1944 with a p mint mark. P's are the only mark I have found on those. Are there others???

44-P seems to be a pretty regular date too

& same here of course with the Philadelphia mint being just a couple hundred miles south.

oddly D's are the rarest here. I've found more S's then D's
