THis is a hole I am digging as I post this. It is almost as deep as my military shovel and I still have a strong signal right in the center. I widened the hole to make sure it was not something on the edge and it's still pinpointing right in center of hole. I am in the edge of an old old hand dug pond that dates back to mid 1800s. Wish me luck. I will check back later.

I am down to a metal plate about two ft deep and right now am praying that it is a box and not part of an old buck stove. It is at the base of a large cedar.

for some reason when i get a signal like that it always turns out to be a huge piece of iron bouncing around in the coin range... even on low sensitivity.

never know though... hopefully you make a nice score.

How long of a dig was this? And how much root action? I'm sure quite a bit. Your dig appears to be sand in the second pic. Probably not.
Bravo! I'd be so bummed though. Reminds me of the detector that can find a truck hood 15 ft. down. Lol
