Just got my md about 2 weeks ago and have been messing around with it in the yard to try to learn it some. So far not much luck. Was an old house at one time beside ours but I think the previous owner of our house had a metal detector and found most of the good stuff and left me the junk, lol!! Anyway, I did manage to dig this up today. WW2? Shank is bent on back and I am afraid to try to straighten it up so I can't read much that is on the back. Any suggestions on cleaning also would be appreciated. Enjoy!!!

Water and a mild soap, and don't try to straighten up. You don't want to take a chance of messing it up. A light cleaning is all you need, its older and been in the dirt, it's not suppose to look new. Nice find
