Lots of real estate will be off limits to relic hunting until February 1st due to deer season. However, I did make it out this morning and found a few things: .69 musketball, buck-n-ball, knife end, Henry brass cartridge casing, leather rivet, and a Buffalo nickel.
I also found a forged iron object. It's probably an attempt to make a farrier's tool (rasp). But then again, you never know. I've attached a photo of the iron item I found and then another photo of the item next to 2 other rasps. Big size difference. Feel free to comment on what it might be.

I don't believe they were attempting to make a rasp. Quite often they used old rasps to forge a tool to use for other other purposes.
