March 16th Hunt Bullet

I hunted a Union cavalry camp yesterday north of Vicksburg and among other things I found this unusual pistol bullet. I posted it up on the "What Is It" forum in hopes someone could help me identify it. Has anybody on this forum seen a bullet like this before?

I got a positive i.d. on the bullet. It's an 1853 .36 caliber Sharps Sporting Rifle bullet.
