I traveled to two different areas and spent 6 hours detecting. Finally my persistence paid off. I found this nice button with lots of gold gilt still on it. As you can see from the backside it is complete as well. I'll try to clean it up a little better so the gold really stands out. Does anybody happen to know how old this one may be? I'm thinking 1860s but I'm still researching for a good date.

Cleaned up

Here is the button all cleaned up. Turned out pretty nice. I still haven't been able to nail down an exact date but from the information I have found thus far states the button was made between the years 1850-1865.
