It was hot today but I still managed to get out & go detecting. I found the smaller button in the river and the larger one up on the bank. Both still have their shanks which is always a plus in my book. The detail on the smaller button is not so great but it has some nice gold gilt remaining. I also found half a horseshoe. I have never kept my horseshoe finds, even when they are complete. Some may say that is bad luck but I just don't see the need in keeping those. Thanks for looking and hope everybody has a great 4th of July!

Nice finds. The half a horse shoe might be an ox shoe

True it could be a shoe for ox, cattle or who knows. This city boy does not know the difference so I just went with the obvious.:laughing7:
