I love to go underwater detecting in the great lakes.

I am learning with help from the wife.
She is posting a pic of my favorite thing found yet....
a War of 1812 U.S. Infantry, 22nd Regiment enlisted man's cap plate.

Yes, I am a diver. All my seeking is under the lakes weekends.
Patience and looking "under" things is the key for me.
I look for history mostly. Military 1812 stuff...buttons,
musket balls, cannon balls too and the occasional
real treasure of the hat plates and such.

I've never had anything of mine appraised or valued. However in terms of my favorite finds, I think 1930 Buffalo Nickel. Its in the BEST condition of all my other coins. Not quite a key date but I'm sure its worth something to someone. These photoes taken through jewelers lense.

I just found a 1927 Indian head nickel with all the nickel gone just copper left .
