My Best Find to Date

[PA Sleuth]

Last weekend I found the biggest silver of my three year of metal detecting career. About four inches deep in the lawn of a 1900 house. VG20 - VG25 condition. New Orleans mintmark, unique being that I found it in suburban Philadelphia.

Those are always good to find no doubt !!! Have found maybe 3 or 4 so far in my 30 something years of detecting here, this area is definitely more poor for detecting finds than others. Keep at it and maybe you will score some silver Half-Dollar or Dollar coins ! Then there is always that elusive real gold items, so far I've gotten very few gold rings myself, most have been recovered by request, its always a thrill to recover gold with diamonds for someone !!!

NICE! Yards seem to be the only place to find silver around here.. to much trash stacked 50years deep in all the parks and nothing is the original grade in the parks..
