I'm in SLC for the next few days...

Hello ALL!

I'm in Salt Lake City for a few days Mon-Tues.. and would like to get out digging... I brought my E-Trac along... anyone up for a hunt or point me in a direction or two...

Can someone tell me if the city parks are ok to detect in? What are the ages? any older parks ??

PSomeone toss me a life line... I would line to be swinging the coil @ 5pm :-)

I'm stayint at the Hyatt by the Airport... Deploying some technology @ Pepsi during the day...

I called the city and after 20+ minutes and a few transfers... I learned that Metal Detecing was ok in the City Parks...

I did a quick look see and decided on a park down town...

20 seconds after arrival I dug a 12/45 3-4" signal... 1942 S Mercury Dime... Silver Coin # 104 for 2010... (Sorry for the not so clear picts from my cell phone...)

I also recovered two wheat backed pennies... 1929 S and a 1946 D

Clad count was decent... there is a token from a place called Boondocks...

The Boondocks token is from an amusement park. There are several located around the Northern Utah and the Southern Idaho area.

Just out of curiosity, which park did you settle on hunting?
