SLC Park Hunt
Small little residential park, in an old quiet neighborhood of SLC, gave up a 22 K gold wedding band for me tonight. Using the new Gold Bug Pro and it rang up 81 VDI. 7 grams. .24 ounces troy. My picture files are to large so I will have to resize and post later. I only hunted right before dark, have barely hunted one small corner, and there is very little junk in the ground. Guess where I'm detecting in the tomorrow?

Re: SLC Park Hunt
That got my attention, gotta love the gold! Great find, you have me wishing it wasn't February.
But, now is the time to start planning the season, and maybe sneak in a few hours when the weather and warmth permit. If anyone wants some company on upcoming hunts, let me know (SLC area-ish). Two years ago I hit on my first gold ring, in a park, and RIGHT below the surface. It just proves you never know where or when you will hit a nice find and to encourage others to dig up ALL signals. Sure, i have dug my weight in pop-tops, but a little gold makes it all worth while. Now if i can just dig up a mason jar full of Mormon gold pieces.....

I would love to go on a hunt and learn some tricks.
