Lets post our Virginia Finds here. I'll start if it's OK.

I found this in my yard on 4-30-06. It was a beautiful day. I had a great time. I like to relic hunt. It's a Union Civil War Breast Plate. I've never found one before, and may not find one again.

:P I and a few others would give our eye teeth to find that.......Great

I found a 1957 Roosie Dime this morning. Of all places in a tot lot at a newer school. It was barely under the wood chips. Some kid must have raided his dad's coin collection.

No pic yet, I'll get it later. Going back out.

Hi All My TH'ing Friends
Congrats on the Union Brest Plate. My first Breast Plate was in very bad shape with the left side rotted away just to the left of the wing and lost two of the three arrow heads. I also did not think I would ever find another but several years later I found my second and then my third. good relics are so much fun to find! :-)
Keep looking and finding those relics, they are out there just waiting to be found. keep posing pictures of your finds.

Hi Michelle and All My TH'ing Friends
Thank you for the reply. You know when I found the first Union Breast Plate I thought that it just the greatest. Then when the second popped out of the roots of a tree, I was really excited, but when I dug a couple 54 Cal Sharps I was all content, so having located another target what to my surprise popped out but the third Breast Plate and it was nearly perfect. I have been blessed with the ability to find items where no one else finds much of anything. I have found that you can't always trust what my detector's meter says, so I found that if I dig up every target. When You increase the number of targets that you dig up you also increase the number of good finds. Trust me on this as I have been using this for more than twenty years now.
Good luck and believe me that you will find something that you have been looking for all in due time. :-)
Happy TH'ing and have fun!

I just wanted to say hi to all my fellow Virginia Treasure Hunters. I'm new to this hobby but I'm very excited about it. I'm located in Halifax county.

Congratulations to all of you on this post. There are some really impressive finds on here.

Hi All My TH'ing Friends
I am sure most of you have read of my two TH'ing Buddies and my finds at a Union encampmant. In the past year we have recovered in excess of 350 drops, 50 buttons, 4 coins, a piece of a CSA canon ball, and lots of other items. Research will lead you to the area, searching and researching the area will increase your finds. And the best part of everything is that I was told the area was 'Hunted out'! Never believe a site is hunted out until you spend many hours without a recovery being made.
Be Safe in all you do and do nothing but what is right. :-)
