I am now the proud new owner of a GB2 ,I've spent a few days doing the multi million read gig on the owners manual, think I figured out how to GB the machine , took it to our club hunt yesterday to pick the brains of a GB or 2 in the club an found that I need to GB it a little differently than the book says to actualy make the machine run right .

Are there any tips , tricks, info, or ideas you folks that own the GB2 can give me to help out on the learning of this machine a little .

Thanks :icon_thumright: and HH Tank

Congradulations on the Gold bug 2 I think you will really like this machine. From my experience with the gold bug, I like the 6" coil for the small stuff, it dont go very deep but it will find the sub gram pieces and they add up pretty fast.

As for the settings I like to turn the volume all of the way up, and get the threshold set so you that you can just here a background hum. The ground balance or (Ground Reject) I like to get the machine to balance and then turn the balance up just a hair to the Positive. The Sensitivity I turn up until you just here the hum start to warble (for the lack of a better description of the word).

I hope this helps you get started with yournew machine.

Bill
