    rain covers for f70

    hey everybody,anyone ever come across any rain covers for the f70? i would very much like to retire the ziplock baggies,lol

    I don't have an F70, but it looks like the same housing as the F75. If this is the case, $14.95 on ebay.

    Personally I prefer the plastic baggie for dressing the detector down so it doesn't look to expensive to a thief. Lots cheaper too.

    You do have a point Sandman. I've never thought of it that way. I can see a thief running up to me and taking off with my detector while I just stand there with a stunned look.

    I make covers from bubble wrap and duct tape. My F70 currently sports a 'camo' rain cover (camouflage duct tape).
    I also wrap the handle in tennis racket tape. It gets dirty and looks terrible after a while, but protects the 'foolish foam' every maker insists on using as a grip these days.

    All in all it looks like cr@p, but is well protected. $15 for a cover? That's beer money, baby...
