1266x v/s f75 on depth test on relics which one goes the deepest?

Let me know if you have used either and what the deepest relic you have found!! I have hunted with the 1266 and have found three ringers 11" deep and a few flat buttons at 9" deep! I haven't used a f75 and was thinking of eventually getting one but it will be hard to put the 1266 on the back burner!!! This post will help me determine if the f75 is worth it!

    88Junior,
Dont have much experience with the 1266 But the new F75 LTD in boost mode is AMAZING. Some good videos on my site with Bill Ladd demoing the SE version.

Re: 1266x v/s f75 on depth test on relics which one goes the deepest?

I've used the F75 and have hunted beside several 1266s. Even had one briefly. The 75 is deeper, no question. I dug a three ringer a few weeks ago that was in the 12-13 inch range. Not much of a signal but it did get it.

The area the 75 will run away from the 66 is in iron. In a house site, the 75 will leave the 66 at the door, so to speak. The disc and recovery speed is just that much better. The 66s I hunted beside were more difficult to understand in the iron whereas the 75 crackles very little when set right.

To muddy the water even more , the Fisher Gold Bug Dp (big coil version) just put a stomping on my 75 in backyard air tests. I placed a flat button in nails and the 75 just would not get it. However, the GB sounded off as if it were a hubcap. No hesitation, no crackles or iffy signal. A solid 'WHAM.'
Before you put down good money, at least take a look at the GB. It has depth on par with your 66 but seems to be the real deal in iron. It's pouring rain out or I'd give you an actual field test. Hence, I'm stuck here at the computer.
