Recently I have been doing more and more old house sites. Along with these sites however comes a copious amounts of trash items. My questions are what do you look for on your Fisher's screen to be sure what's under the coil is a coin? How do you pick up the deepest coins possible without making the F5 unstable? I seem to pick up a ton of "iffy" or "bouncy" signals and was wondering if its normal because of the trash in the area

No secrets really, a one dollar gold coin is an iffy signal on any detector when it's on the fringe or a trashy area. The best way I've found to hunt a trashy site is a small coil and to bring a friend and take turns, one on the detector and one doing recovery. Makes the day go by faster...
