F2 Test

I'm not trying to pick you apart here, detectingpro, but 14 hours is still not a lot of time to have on a machine. You may like it better once you log a bit more time.

All I can say is it's not a deep machine as some like to call it. It's a great coin shooter but still, I think the f5 for 100$ less the pro is a better bargain

I think depth wise and coin shooting, go for the f70 but if your hunting beaches a lot it's not for you

I hope it all comes together for ya. But in the end if it's not for you, it's not for you! I've owned some great detectors that I just didn't like for one reason or another.

I find the f2 with the 11" dd a great working machine. I never really take it off. It was chattery I found at times with the other coils. I am going to upgrade soon to try something new but I won't be selling my f2 because i know it so well and I rarely come home empty handed. I use mine at max sensitivity and zero discrimination and I got old coins over 6" easy. One of my favorite silver coins I found it got at 8" which I surprising for such a little coin!
I will always praise the f2 as a great lower price machine and here is my list of good coins I found with the f2 in about a two years and not to mention all the other good finds with it.

You are wasting your time testing freshly buried coins. I could go into much more detail but it is not necessary. Depending on how bad you disturbed the dirt and mixed it, it could take years. My test garden is 1.5 years old and still not good. Just go detecting and don't worry about your freshly buried coins because your detector will go much deeper.

I know this because I did the same thing you did! Went out detecting and had a blast and found tons of coins, some silvers, and 11 rings. All the rings were junk, but hey it was fun and my detector definitely got deeper than the freshly buried coins I couldn't hit.

Not necessarily. When a coin or other object falls onto the ground, it is naturally covered by dirt as it accumulates over the years. Hence, any coin that was once lost on the surface will always be 100% adjusted to the soil. The reason why human-buried coins have to readjust to the soils is that we disturb the soil as we dig, causing it to not perfectly conform to the coin. There are actually several reasons why a place is never hunted out such as the type of machine being used to hunt, sweep speed, and most importantly, the fact that nobody covers every square inch of a place.
