Too heavy and not water proof...at that price you'd think it would be at least water proof.

I'd guess they're trying to increase market share like all businesses. Same price as the as the ones we see advertised on KELLYCO.

We have to watch out for false advertising all the time. Even with Garrett calling the AT Pro a beach detector. Yeah, you can use any detector on the beach with various success. But to put the guts in another box and calling it NEW is just dirty pool. Next someone will tell us that certain colors produce more gold rings. LOL. 😄

It's been on there for years. It is a specialty forestry set up that comes in a hard case, includes headphones and a few other things. It's an F75 specifically packaged to attract government sales. Government doesn't buy like we do (shopping stores). They get an account and all sales are usually given a PO to buy there. Fisher rebrands it as to not think they could have got the same exact thing at Kellyco (and adds a few accessories to make sure the package CAN'T be duplicated).

Politics.

Car companies have been doing the same thing for years. Take a basic platform release it then take the same platform, put a different badge and options and call it something else.

Garrett doesn't call the AT pro a beach detector, they call it an All Terrain defector...that's what the AT stands for.
