I got this Gold Bug 2 for a pretty good deal. It seems to work fine. However it appears that the previous owner attempted to make a repair. The housing is glued or stuck onto the shaft. I wouldn't mind having the housing remove able from the shaft. I don't know exactly how it it supposed to be attached. Does anyone know if this is repairable? If it's like my 3d the box slides onto the lower attachment. No locking notch as I could tell, just held snug by tension. Maybe it was starting to wobble and he did that to fix it in place. Sure some of these guys know more about it than me but just my thoughts on it.
