Fishers F11, F22, F44

Yeah. He said they are as close to waterproof without being waterproof. Submerged in water for 5 hours with no problems. Just means if you accidentally drop it in the creek or seawaves, you're probably safe.

The iron seems to stop at 19, and not 39 like the Teks. Segments are done in tens, easier to figure. The F44 looks almost the same with more menu items and probably more mode selections. The FeTone adjustable iron audio is present as the Fe segment replacing the "Iron" name like on the ETP.

I like what I see so far! Thanks for the info. I was thinking of a Tek Omega for my next machine, not sure if I should wait for the F44. I wonder if the F44 will replace the F4 & F5?

Probably the F2 and F4. They are the only 5.9 khz machines FTP makes.

The F44 will have ground grab over the F22 as well. If you hunt near water, I'd wait for the F44 over the Omega. Projected sales date is May 15.

Not a great pic, but I can see room below the word "notch" for other adjustments like V-Break and Manual Ground Balance. On my LRP. these only show up in programmable mode 2,3 and 4 and not in presets of Coin, Jewelry and Artifacts. The F44 and LRP have a lot of commonalities, the F44 having FeTone and a backlight over the LRP.

I am surprised, as the F5 will continue to use the Legacy based control box that still uses the two 9 volts (one thing I dislike about my F2), & won't get a facelift like the lower priced F-series. The F44's adjustable GB is my main concern. If it is adjustable in disc AND all metal, (unlike the F4) I will surely buy one. Back light, adjustable GB, weatherproof, fe-tone, it sounds like a winner to me! Now Phantasman, if you can just get us an MSRP and release date...

Why, I'm still trying to justify trading my BG Pro for the F-19, but now they went and produced this NEW line-up of detectors! Sheesh!

Looks more like a whites screen than previous fishers.
Like the coil shape
Like weather proof
Like the weight, just under an Omega, and inline with Deus.
Would have preferred to stay with one 9V batt., but not a deal breaker.
Hope it has 3 tone, and not the annoying sounding two tone, like F19, that will be a deal breaker.

The above ad didn't mention tones.
Be nice if it is a great performer, and mid priced @ say 600, might sell a lot of them (the 44)

I'm surprised FTP decided to go with big numbers flashing rather than the 43 segment conductivity arc with word ID below like the LRP. Once learned, that arc is great for adjusting (like the notch width) as well as quick ID. Seems it will be generic for European as well as American coins, relying on numerics alone like the Euroteks. Since the Fe is in one box, 4 gold in another and 4 silver in yet another, I'm sure there will be a tone for each of the 3 boxes. Probably an option of a fourth for nickels like the LRP as well. Maybe even 9 tones for each segment.

The more I hear/read about the LRP, the better it seems to be. Seems like a real sleeper, I think some may dismiss it due to the unbelievable price. I do like the word ID as well. Having the word ID in addition to the numbers just gives me a bit more enthusiasm when I get a good hit.

I think so. I watched many air tests on youtube of other detectors, like the MXT Pro, F19, AT Pro, etc. When I see that the dime starts losing detection at 8-9 inches, quarters at 10 and a half, I know by testing the LRP that I'm getting close to that same depth in the same air test. When I read reviews and 4 people say they max depth a quarter at 8" in the ground, and then another guy jumps in saying he gets 14-16", then I realize he is daydreaming. I did watch the Vaquero hit 12-14" air test targets, and I bow to it's abilities to get deep targets. But for $250, I've found nothing twice the price or even three times the price that would make me want to improve over what I'm already getting. If LRP and QDP had screw in coils, 3 pole design and had Teknetics written on it, it would have sold as much as the Eurotek Pro (which uses the same process).

Those Vaquero's are not necessarily the same as everybody else gets. I and quite a few others, have never been able to duplicate those 13" plus air tests with our Vaquero's. I could get about 11" on a quarter in air when super tuning, but no way could I hunt with it at that sensitivity. Much too so chatty & falsing (regardless of any EMI). Not to mention the pinpoint button was useless & would shatter your eardrums if you happened to use it with the threshold so high. Upon speaking with a rep (Allcav), he said I should get at least 10" on a quarter (not 13"). FTP have always had consistent depths from one machine to the next. In fact they are so confident in the depth consistency, many times they actually list the depth of the machine in the owners manual.

Interesting, the F44 does seem like a nice machine. I have an Omega w/8" concentric on the way. I planned to get the F44 when available, but now I will wait & see how I like the Omega first.

Someone please explain the advantages and disadvantages of the menu selection "boost". The F-44 has boost on the menu and I believe some f 75 machines also have this feature. A friend explained it as being like "passing gear" but that did not help my mental picture of this feature.
