Hello All...

Got myself a new GB pro recently.
Been working my back yard and local "tot lot" this last week which was fun.
But I hope to go out on my first REAL excursion this weekend.

Prospecting for Au is my target.
I will be working in "All Metal Mode" which is pretty straight forward in it's settings.

But I see there are some tricks to learn in "Discrimination" mode.
And I'm curious if anyone has any pointers they may be willing to share?

Thanks!!

G

I've used my GB Pro for 4 years now, and (think) I'm qualified to help.
All I've done is in the Discrim mode.
Use the little target i.d. chart in their owner's manual, it is fairly reliable, BUT
you'd better use sample pieces of gold, like rings, coins and such, to see where
everything falls, and go after those (numbers), and get repeatable signals for coins.
Silver is way over in the 90's. And gold, uncertain. usually in the pull-tab range...,
sound familiar?? and, be sure to keep well, ground balanced..., very critical you do!
