I was looking on ebay for a decent backup detector, and I found a Fisher CZ-5 up for auction, one owner, kept in closet for years after a few uses, clean and in good working condition.
The bidding started at about $150, then after a few days stagnated at $220. Stayed there with 5 bids till the last day.
I figured I'd come back the last hour to bid, maybe get it for $275 plus $20 shipping. Seems like a lot but I like CZ's.
Then, as I sometimes do, I forgot to log on, realized I was an hour late. I logged on to see what great price I missed, because I can be a masochist sometimes, and that detector went for $680 with shipping!
What the....it's a 15 yr old detector. No warranty, no assurance it didn't have issues, no returns.
$680.
I'm amazed.

Go back and see who the bidders were - I have found that things that sell for a crazy price or normally bought from a "Ebay Newbee" - 1st time out of the gate.:laughing7:
