Looking at the Fisher F11.....Is it as good as the F2 for finding Au and Ag Jewelry ?

I personally would get a used F2 or drop extra $70 for an F22. Going up to Technetics Patriot (aka Fisher F70) would be best, but that is a whole lot of extra dollars and involves a learning curve to use it. You are new to the hobby, so dropping $400 is a bit much to find out if you enjoy doing this.

I started with the F2 because I was new to the hobby. I love that machine and later upgraded to the F70 for a wonderful price on EBay. I won't sell the F2 because I have an attachment to it and all my guests that use it also love it. My sister keeps offering me money for it.

No matter what model or maker of the metal detector you buy, make sure it has the qualities and abilities of at least an F2. That way I know you will have a good time.
