It actually comes with a dd coil. I have an original Gold Bug, and there was a smaller dd coil available, but I don't believe they are producing them any longer. Since it runs at 19kHz, no currently produced Fisher coils will work as far as I am aware. It's super hot with the stock coil. Hits on tiny sub-grain nuggets at a couple inches.
