A few old detectors are available to me but at a seemingly steep price for >20 year old machines. From my research it seems like a toss up between the two but I am leaning towards the CZ5 which looks identical to the modern CZ-3D. (I don't know the difference between the two)

Is it still worth shelling out a few hundred on one of these machines? I already own an F22 and Equinox and keep the F22 in the truck at all times just in case. I'm started off looking at a small coil for the F22 or the Equinox but at $179 for a 6" coil kinda tempted to through in some more cash and get a new toy...

How good is the CZ5 in unmasking and in iron?

Thanks Eman1000

I still have my 1260X, gave my 1265X to my cousin to get her started - I doubt she's used it yet and its' been over a year.

The 1260X found me silver dimes at 10" = 30 years ago. I considered a 1266X years ago. I'd say it's a very capable machine.

Edit: Using the 1260X, I've plucked coins out in the midst of a bonfire site filled with nails.
