I’m mainly a relic hunter, so my settings may differ from some of the coin hunters. We’re currently searching a torn down home place in town that dates to 1860’s, with another house next door that dates to the 1880’s. I’ve got it on 2F, disc 17, sensitivity as high as I can get it without chatter, no notch, and DE process. Anyone have any of their settings for old homes in town, to sniff out the Indians, and silver. I’ve found silver and Indians here, but the signals didn’t sound all that great due to all the junk around me.

I use the F75 every time I go out. Today I used the hockey puck coil all day and got tombacs past a foot deep. Most sites I go to don't have modern trash so my only concern is Ferris or non Ferris. I'll use mono tone with disc 0, 2, 4. and if iron is really bad 6. 2H works really well as does 2F and 2L I'm almost always in BP mode. When I do get into areas with heavy modern trash and just want to pluck out coins I'll use disc 40. Bp works well going a little slower. At 40 disc you'll still get trash but mostly watch for higher signal. F75 is soooo under rated. I guess that because its too basic. Check out some of my recent finds using the f75 and a home-made sifter

I use BP when out detecting for civil war relics which we mainly do, and I’ll run it at disc of 6.

I usually run default, 3H (high tone for nickels), Disc 6 and sensitivity as high as I gan get it (60 to 90).

I like jewelry mode and 2F for older sites where everything above iron gets dug. Like said above the 3H mode seems the most logical for coin hunting but those older coins seem to ring in all over the board so thats why I prefer the 2F.

The F-75 was given lots of respect and still considered a very capable detector when matched against any other coin/relic machine. The only downfalls I've ran into with it are it likes hot rocks and small shards of aluminum will sometimes sound off like a very deep coin. The ergonomics will trash my Equinox and anything else I have. Fun to use thats for sure.

I’ve stuck with 2F for years, and 2H as of recently. I’ve had the best of luck with all locations, civil war sites, homesites, and parks. I rarely run a lot of Disc, and only run BP when the grass is deep, or I’m in the woods. I’ve out done the AT PRO on numerous signals, as far as how it read out, and sounded. The AT PRO might hit it, but the F75 will punch deeper, and the slower you roll over a target the more accurate it is

Same here. Always 0 disc. Yeah....I may catch crap for this but I was never impressed by the At Pro. The max seems deeper but overall I feel the F-75 beats them both all around.....except for water hunting, of course. I know people who hunt in hot ground they claim the multi freq. machines ID items better at depth vs the single freq. units.....which makes sense. I sold my old F-75 special edition and quickly bought another to replace it!

I don’t care to catch flack over it, I’ve owned every detector brand out there, always going for the top of the line, and sold my etrac for the original F75, and have never looked back. Got the newest one less than a month ago, and brings back many memories, plus I have all my old videos, and secret settings for different things. I’ve ran it next to too many different detectors, and right behind them, and the AT PRO just wouldn’t pull these coins, and jewelry out I recovered.

Think we need to do an air test and buried coins test vs my AT Pro on a youtube video and see who's got the better advantage. [emoji8]

There’s been several done. I think we know who the winner will be[emoji23] whoever goes the lowest, and slowest, and listens for those deep targets. I was going to bring out the Sony FDR-AX33, and tripod for our hunts, and the wireless mics, but I’m afraid a crack head would be about $900 richer if we did that. It would however help you find your targets at night since yours doesn’t have a lighted display screen.

I just listen to the sound, that screen is there for the grade schoolers who are learning to read numbers.

Air testing........is......pointless

For a vs test. Shows nothing. Great for a systems check only.

Like I’ve told him before, it’s all in the finds at the end of the day that shows the potential of a detector over another. We live in a area where the soil isn’t hot, but does have minerals enough to cause some coins to sound like trash, so a test bed would be about the only way to go about it. I wish I still worked for the concrete company I use to. They had plastic test cylinders about the size of a coffee can wide, and about 12 inches tall. Those would be perfect to bury

I mainly run in the BP mode, gain as high as the ground allows. My soil here in the South is really mild generally speaking. I am running all metal a little more but you have to get use to it. I think just me that it's a little deeper than de. It is annoying at times.

In my defense I chose not to hunt back there due to trash, and after you found that I found my stuff, and if you remember correctly all the Indians and silver I found plus jewelry. You kept saying it was hunted out, I had to talk you back in to going

Adjustments.jpg IMG_5286.jpg IMG_5273.jpg IMG_5267.jpg Adjustments.jpg total of 4 days finds. All with the F75, all the Indians were 8-10” except one it was on top of ground, as was the .58 minie, and the medal just to rub it in. I want to emphasize ALL with F75.[emoji12][emoji1366]
