I checked with Seminole County Parks and Recreation Department to find that "Seminole County has a ban on disturbing the environment as part of Section 190.30 of the Ordinance Code, and this extends to metal detecting as well. As a policy, we also follow the State of Florida’s recommendation against metal detecting on public lands.".

Sad. Truly sad that responsible tax payers cannot utilize government resources. Instead of severely punishing those who damage and destroy public lands in the process of metal detecting, everyone ultimately is paying the price. :angry9:
