The only problem I ever had to date was my very first hunting trip, I went to a local swimming area at Wekiva Springs State Park. A ranger quickly, but politely informed me St. Parks not on the oceans were off limits. I totally forgot it was a State Park when I entered.

Areas to avoid, all parks I hunt. ;D

Miser, you get my PM?

Miser, check out http://www.municode.com/RESOURCES/OnlineLibrary.asp
You can find the Orlando code of ordinances there.
Unfortunately Orlando is very anti anything.
Metal detecting is not illegal per se, but disturbing the "plane of the earth" is.
The web site has the laws on just about any town or county in the state and probably the nation.
